Missed Sunday morning worship this week?  Here are some announcements you may have missed.  Check back frequently for updates!

Welcome New Members!
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to our new church members!  This morning, we will officially accept Bertha Burns, Dan Joseph and Scott Pennell as members of the Magnolia United Methodist Church by transfer.

Vacation Bible School
Mark your calendars!  Vacation Bible School will be held on June 25th – 29th.  This will be a sports-themed week titled “Game On”.  Please contact Kenneth or LuAnne Frase if you have any questions or are interested in helping.

WinGS Sunday Night Bible Study
The WinGS group will begin The Best Yes by Lisa Terkeurst tonight at 7:00 p.m.  Please have the first three chapters read.  If the church ordered your book for you, please pick it up from the counter in the multipurpose room.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study
The Tuesday Morning Bible Study group completed the Easter Experience.  They will not meet again until the new session starts on April 24th.  The next session will be Half Truths by Adam Hamilton.  Everything happens for a reason. God helps those who help themselves. God won’t give you more than you can handle. God said it, I believe it, that settles it.  Love the sinner, hate the sin.  All true? Not so fast. We’ve heard these phrases all of our lives, but in Adam Hamilton’s new book, Half Truths, you’ll learn that although they capture some element of truth, when compared to the wisdom found in Scripture, they’re really just popular sayings.  Sign up in the narthex if interested.

Hospice Volunteer Opportunity
If you are interested in becoming a Hospice volunteer, see the informational sheet on the bulletin board.  There is required training that is free, but space is limited.

Men’s Breakfast
All men and boys of the church are invited to the monthly men’s breakfast at Crossroads Restaurant on the second Saturday of each month at 7:00 a.m.  The next breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 14th.

Heritage Dinner
The second annual Heritage Dinner to honor and celebrate those members 80 years and older that helped to build the tradition of our church family will be held on May 2, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.  Invitations will be mailed shortly.  If you are over 80 and do not receive an invitation, please contact the church office.  If you are interested in helping with the dinner in any way, contact Chris Dieringer.

Youth Discussion
There will be a meeting in the sanctuary immediately following morning worship on Sunday, April 15th for all parents of youth (or future youth), and anyone interested in helping with the youth program going forward.  Youth are kids in grades 6-12.  If you are interested but cannot attend, please contact the church office.

Backpack Ministry
The next packing date is Wednesday, April 18th at 9:30 a.m. with delivery on Friday, April 20th at 9:30 a.m.  Thank you to all who support this ministry with your time, finances and prayers.  If you have any questions, please contact Clarinda Hinderer or Chris Dieringer.

Coffee Fellowship Volunteers
If you are willing to sign-up for one or more Sundays to coordinate coffee fellowship, there is a sheet in the narthex.  You may sign up individually, as a family or even as a Sunday school class.   Thank you in advance for your willingness to serve!
